Yes, I’m talking to YOU! You read the title to this blog post! So, are you? Are YOU?
A few days ago, I posted a video of me shaking my ass on YouTube and I’ve been posting on Instagram stories daily since and you guys seem to enjoy it! So, why this obsession with shaking my tooshie? And why do I want you to do it too??
I’m so glad you asked!
One of the main reasons I do it is because I spend a lot of time working alone and that can become super boring. I need to get up and raise my energy and my mood sometimes. I turn on an uplifting tune, I crank up the volume and I boogie!
I also do this to train my brain to continue taking action. You know how it is: your diary is maxed out with to-do-lists too! It’s soooo important to occasionally pause and actually acknowledge what we’re accomplishing!
If all we see is what’s still left to do, what we didn’t do well enough, what we could have done better…our nervous systems go into a state of major stress and eventually, we’re going to burn out. Our own physiology and psychology crashing is going to stop us faster than any external obstacle ever could!
To prevent burning out, we need to take care of ourselves! And one way we can do this is to celebrate our victories! Acknowledge all the positive results that your hard work generates. You can do this by writing the results in a journal. And if you want to send the celebration even deeper into your nervous system – therefore, having a bigger impact on your ability to continue taking action – you can DANCE!
